Naomh Conaill overturn a six-point deficit to narrowly qualify for the Donegal SFC final

Meanwhile, Scotstown edged out their Monaghan SFC replay against Ballybay.

Donegal SFC

NAOMH CONAILL RALLIED from six points down to book their place in the Donegal SFC final, following a a slender one-point win over Gaoth Dobhair.

A goal from substitute Kieran Gallagher was a pivotal moment in the game, as the 2015 Donegal champions brought the game back to a draw in the concluding stages.

Donegal’s Odhran Mac Niallais combined with Eamon McGee to give Gaoth Dobhair the early advantage, with Mac Niallais finishing up with a personal tally of 0-04.

But despite building up a 1-08 0-05 half-time lead, Naomh Conaill revived in the second half to come away with a 1-13 1-12 victory.

Monaghan SFC

Ballybay and Scotstown were reunited for their Monaghan SFC semi-final replay, with the latter coming away with a three point-win.

This is the second year-in-a-row that Scotstown have defeated Ballybay at the semi-final stage.

Ballybay were eight points up in stoppage time  of the drawn game last weekend, but Scotstown smashed home two goals to ensure it would go to a replay.

And they made the most of their second chance, winning the tie 2-12 0-15.

Kildare SFC

Moorefield put three goals past Athy, as they sailed through to the Kildare SFC final for 2017.

They now march on to meet Celbridge on the back of an impressive 3-13 0-14 victory.
