The 19-year-old joined Brighton from Dorchester Town last February for £40,000 and was called up to the Kenya squad for the first time in August.
He scored seven goals in 31 appearances for Dorchester before featuring regularly in Brighton’s U23 side this season.

“He is a player that will bring physicality to our attacking options and also extra goalscoring (power),” said Sligo boss Dave Robertson. “He is a centre forward that with pace and power.
“We will come up against different teams with different styles and to deal with that we will need a real versatility. Having competition in the squad is very important.”
Brighton U23 coach Simon Rusk added: “The loan move is a good one for all three parties, both clubs and the player.
This is a chance for Jonah to play senior football in the League of Ireland. That is a great opportunity for him to continue his development, in a competitive league and get regular game time.”
Ayunga arrives hot on the heels of Matthew Stevens, who signed for Rovers on loan from Peterborough United. They’ll compete with Raff Cretaro and Mikey Place for places up front in Robertson’s starting XI.
Robertson, who took charge of Sligo a year ago, indicated he’s searching for one more defender before he concludes his transfer business. Sligo have made five signings so far in the window, with the start of the new season a month just away.
“We are not far away. Our next focus will definitely be to get another defender in. We need someone to come in who will be able to provide cover in that area.
“We currently have five defenders in the squad so I would like to add one more. That would be enough defensively.”
