A FOOTBALLER WHO survived an airplane crash which claimed the lives of many of his teammates, has been discharged from hospital.
Alan Ruschel of the Chapecoense club, was one of just six survivors from the accident which occurred while the Brazilian team was travelling to Columbia for the first leg of the Copa Sudamericana final match against Atlético Nacional.
Ruschel has been discharged from hospital, nearly three weeks on from the horrific tragedy. Footage shows him being brought out of the hospital on a wheelchair before getting into a car.

The defender sustained a spinal chord injury, according to reports and was transferred back to a hospital in Brazil earlier this week. There is still a possibility that he will be able to resume his football career in the future and is expected to continue receiving physiotherapy treatment at home.
His teammate Neto, remains in hospital.

A FOOTBALLER WHO survived an airplane crash which claimed the lives of many of his teammates, has been discharged from hospital.
Alan Ruschel of the Chapecoense club, was one of just six survivors from the accident which occurred while the Brazilian team was travelling to Columbia for the first leg of the Copa Sudamericana final match against Atlético Nacional.
The title was later awarded to the club as a mark of respect to the victims.
