CARL FRAMPTON HAS revealed that his highly-anticipated WBA featherweight title rematch with Leo Santa Cruz has been agreed.
The undefeated Belfast fighter (23-0, 14KOs) became a two-weight world champion when he overcame the then-unbeaten Mexican (32-1-1, 18KOs) on a majority decision in an epic New York contest on 30 July.

And this afternoon Frampton, 29, confirmed that a deal has been agreed on a rematch, although a date and venue are still to be released.
However, Ring magazine has since claimed the bout will take place on Saturday, 28 January.
It has previously been reported that Frampton favours a bout in Las Vegas, although Los Angeles has also been mooted as a possible venue.
‘The Jackal’ has already had a remarkably successful year, having defeated England’s Scott Quigg on a split decision in February, which saw him crowned the unified world super-bantamweight champion in Manchester.
Frampton was stripped of his WBA super-bantamweight title in April after failing to agree a first title defence against highly-rated Cuban Guillermo Rigondeaux (17-0, 11KOs).
At the time, Frampton revealed his disappointment with the decision but insisted he had his sights set on moving up a weight to pursue a fight with the likes of Santa Cruz.
