Look how close Aaron Rodgers' game-winning Hail Mary came to hitting the roof

The Miracle in Motown almost didn’t happen.

AARON RODGERS’ GAME-winning Hail Mary against the Detroit Lions — the so-called Miracle in Motown — on Thursday night looked impressive on the three or four replay angles TV could provide.

However, it looks like the Green Bay Packers quarterback’s pass was even more incredible in person, and the sheer height he got on the pass wasn’t properly reflected on your TV screen.

This fan video posted on Instagram of the Hail Mary shows just how high and far the ball travelled — and it stayed in the air for a gravity-defying 4.5 seconds — and just how perfect the pass was:

At its peak, the pass came within a metre or so of the rafters in Ford Field but that’s the height Rodgers needed to achieve to give his receivers time to get into position to catch the pass.
