IF 18-YEAR old winger Jacob Cowley comes off the bench to play for the Scarlets against the Dragons tomorrow, he could create history as part of the first father-son combination to play alongside each other in the Guinness Pro12.
Veteran centre King joined the Scarlets in 2005 but left for a three-year spell with Clermont before returning to the Welsh outfit in 2014.
His son Cowley signed a three-year academy contract with the Scarlets this season having previously played with Hamilton Boys School in Waikato.

He can, like his father, play centre but is primarily used on the wing.
There are a number of examples in cricket and club gaa while former Chelsea striker Eidur Gudjohnsen once replaced his father Arnor in Iceland’s international against Estonia in 1996.
Technically though, they didn’t play alongside each other.
