Ghost-flustered: Welsh players forced to move hotel room after spectre sighting

Who ya gonna call?

AS DISRUPTIONS TO match preparations go, this one is certainly unique.

The Welsh rugby team are currently staying in the 4-star Oatlands Park Hotel in Surrey but spooky sightings have forced two of the team to move rooms ahead of Saturday’s Pool A clash with Australia.

Dan Lydiate and Sam Warburton hope to haunt the Wallabies this weekend, but they’ve experienced some terrifying tribulations of their own first.

“It was a problem for the first couple of days,” Welsh fitness coach Paul Stridgeon told a press conference this morning.

“As soon as Dan Lydiate saw it and then managed to get back to sleep, Warbs (Sam Warburton) couldn’t get back to sleep so he was a bit tired for the first couple of days. Now they’ve moved from that room.”

As for who the ghost was, Lydiate had a theory.

“Dan said he saw a big figure at the end of his bed, stood on the radiator with a massive beard. He thought it was Jake Ball (a Welsh rugby player with a huge beard).

“Someone said Henry VIII, but I don’t think he’s ever been here.”
