THE REIGNING AIB ALL-Ireland senior club football champions Corofin may have been lucky to escape with a draw a fortnight ago but they made no mistake at the second time of asking against Tuam Stars on Sunday.
A late Gary Sice point the last day earned this quarter-final replay but the defending champions did not need any late drama today as they secured a four-point win at Tuam stadium in their Galway SFC senior football championship quarter-final replay.
Corofin led by 2-3 to 0-6 at the break and comfortably saw out the second half to book their ninth semi-final spot in 10 years and they’ll face Cortoon Shamrocks in the final four.
