Conor McGregor made more than €45,000 per minute on Saturday night

Unsurprisingly, he and Chad Mendes earned quite a few bob at UFC 189.

CONOR MCGREGOR’S UFC 189 salary has been revealed and, well, it’s nice work if you can get it.

McGregor and the defeated Chad Mendes each pocketed €453,500 ($500,000) after the new interim featherweight champion and the former number one contender went toe-to-toe for nine mintues and 57 seconds in the early hours of Sunday morning.

In the co-main event, welterweight champion Robbie Lawler earned €272,100 for his fifth-round TKO victory but his opponent Rory MacDonald was paid just €53,500.

However, Lawler, McDonald and McGregor all earned bonuses of €45,350 on top of their salary.

The salaries for the other Irish fighters on the card were significantly less than that earned by The Notorious.

Adopted Irishman Gunnar Nelson was paid €52,600 for his victory over Brandon Thatch while Neil Seery and Cathal Pendred earned €13,600 and €9,070 respectively in defeat.

These figures do not represent each fighter’s total earnings. Income from sponsorship, pay-per-view receipts, etc are not publicly disclosed.
