'We suck at soccer' admits* leading women's player

The Norwegian team take a sarcastic look at the women’s World Cup.

THE NORWEGIAN WOMEN’S football team joined up with national broadcaster NRK to produce this tongue-in-cheek look at the women’s game.

The mockumentary features lines such as ““we suck, plain and simple,” from veteran defender Trine Ronning while midfielder Emilie Have acknowledges that she sometimes forgets she’s not allowed pick up the ball.

The Norwegians even pretend to send Fifa some suggestions on how to improve the women’s game with proposals including smaller pitches, lighter balls and having players throw the ball at free kicks.

Sepp Blatter — him of the tighter shorts suggestion — ‘responds’ by writing:

“HAHAHA these suggestions made my day. LOL.”
