GLASGOW v ULSTER last night was proper knockout rugby. Both teams desperately needed a trophy to crystallise the great work they’ve done over the last few years and only one team could advance.
The ending was epic.
Super Rugby might not feel as important at times but the rugby is still a great deal of fun to watch. Take yesterday’s game between the Chiefs and the Bulls.

It started off with two mammoth Chiefs howlers but ended up with the two-out-of-three champions running all over the former two-out-of-three champions.
After falling behind 15-3, the home side eventually remembered how to play rugby – great rugby. They scored four unanswered tries from Liam Messam, Bryce Heem and Augustine Pulu (2) to eventually win 34-20 but Heem’s try was very special.
The Chiefs bonus point win leaves the table looking like this.
We are definitely heading for a Chiefs v Hurricanes final… actually, given how the table will likely finish, it will probably be a semi-final.
