Mo Farah Twitter beef with fellow athlete gets out of hand Taylor Swiftly

We knew these two were trouble.

MO FARAH AND fellow Team GB athlete Andy Vernon were involved in a Twitter spat longer than one of their 10,000m races yesterday.

And it was one that took a surreal turn when the Olympic gold medallist alleged that Taylor Swift was faster than his team-mate.

It all started with this tweet from Vernon about the less than world class field scheduled to take on Farah in the Sainsbury’s Indoor Grand Prix in Birmingham.

And you’d have thought that would be that. Both equally bitchy, both equally childish. However, Vernon just couldn’t shake it off.

Because he’s young and reckless, Vernon then took things way too far and suggested that Farah shouldn’t quote pop-sensation Taylor Swift in his tweets:

It’s one of the more bizarre Twitter spats we’ve seen and nobody comes out of it looking well really.

Except Taylor Swift. She’s brilliant.
