Watch 'The Mountain' from Game of Thrones break a 1,000 year old weightlifting record

Do you even lift, bro?

THERE’S STRONG, AND then there’s Hafthor Bjornsson strong.

You probably know Bjornsson from his role as ‘The Mountain’ in HBO’s hit TV show Game of Thrones and you may well have known he is a four times World’s Strongest Man competitor.

However, the Icelandic strongman’s latest feat casts into doubt whether or not he is actually human.

Competing in the World’s Strongest Viking competition, the 28.5 stone (181 kg) Bjornsson lifted a 32-foot, 100 stone (640kg) log and carried it five steps to break a 1,000 year old record.
