The best part of the Ballon d'Or is when Messi and Ronaldo troll each other with their ballots

Will they ever vote for each other?

THE FIFA BALLON d’Or is meant to crown the world’s best player but recently it has been a straight shootout between Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, who have won the last seven awards between them.

Kaka was the last person to win the trophy whose name wasn’t Messi or Ronaldo and that says it all about how long the duo have been at the top of world football.

The funny thing is that although the two are clearly the world’s best, neither man voted for the other this year.

Ronaldo went with a top three of Sergio Ramos, Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema while Messi chose Angel di Maria, Andres Iniesta and Javier Mascherano.

They basically went along party lines but isn’t it a little absurd that neither man would even throw the other their number three vote?

I’m just waiting until this happens at next year’s ceremony.
