With more and more competition for viewers, mostly from BT, Sky constantly have to come up with ways to keep people tuning in. One good way to do that is with a promo video. Fans are suckers for a good promo and Sky do it better than most.

You can tell from this 1995 effort that Sky didn’t have a whole lot of competition back then. I’m sure it was riveting, gritty and edgy viewing in the mid 90′s, but it looks prehistoric compared to the loud, explosive efforts we get today.
