We should all be wary about getting off the bus tonight. David Davies

Johan Goosen is the current clubhouse leader for the most ridiculous rugby injury of the season

Who knew stepping off the team bus could be so fraught with peril?

INJURIES ARE USUALLY no laughing matter, but just like when you get a fit of giggles in mass, it is pretty hard to keep a straight face when you hear what happened to Racing Metro out-half Johan Goosen before his side’s 15-9 loss away to Toulouse.

The Parisians were already under pressure at the position after Johnny Sexton was stood down with concussion but they will be furious after their South African back-up picked up a knee injury stepping off the team bus.

How could Goosen have been so reckless?

“He has a small problem with his knee and he will be out, I think, for two or three weeks,” revealed Laurent Travers, one half of the Les Deux Laurents coaching team who run the club along with Laurent Labit.

“He injured himself quite simply while getting off the bus last night (Saturday) when we arrived,” added Travers.

How do you think Goosen disembarked the Racing coach? I’m picturing something like this, but in reverse.

Where does Goosen’s bus incident rank in terms of all-time strange sporting injuries?
