Are Super Bowl style rings the future for the GAA?

If Kieran Donaghy gets his way they will be.

FOR THE FIRST time, Kerry’s All-Ireland winning senior footballers were presented with Super Bowl style rings for beating Donegal to Sam Maguire last September.

Munster chairman Robert Frost and GAA President Liam O’Neill were on hand Saturday night to present Kieran Donaghy and the rest of the Kerry panel with their new jewellery at a gala banquet.

The rings were presented alongside their traditional All-Ireland and Munster winners’ medals:
