LAST WEEK’S PICK Six saw an epic draw between Leinster flanker Shane Jennings and TheScore.ie. This week we’ve challenged All-Ireland winning Cork footballer Daniel Goulding and he told us how he (coincidentally) started supporting the New England Patriots during their golden era.
“I am a big Patriots fan because I’ve an uncle over in Boston and he kind of got me into them. It was an easy decision to make because they were good but I’ve gone to two games in Foxborough and I went to see them at Wembley. I’m going to see them in a few weeks time against Detriot too.”
Here’s who the Cork forward went for this week:
Cleveland Browns @ Cincinnati Bengals
Daniel Goulding: I think with home-field advantage, the Bengals will be too strong. The Browns have kind of come out of nowhere and it will be a bit of a dogfight but I think the Bengals will edge it.
TheScore.ie: The Bengals look like a bit of a zig-zag team this year. Sometimes when you really fancy them to pull out a big performance, they let you down like they did against the Patriots. Brian Hoyer has been good for them all season and I think he leads the Browns to a tough away win tonight.

Kansas City Chiefs @ Buffalo Bills
Daniel Goulding: Alex Smith is my fantasy quarter-back and I think he will just barely lead the Chiefs to an away win. I think the Chiefs are the only one with a realistic chance to go to the playoffs and this is a must win for them.

TheScore.ie: Once again, we disagree with Mr Goulding. Both sides are 5-3 going into the game but everyone seems to be picking the Chiefs. The Bills have beaten some good sides this year (Bears, Dolphins, Lions) and we are picking them to sneak a home win on Sunday.
Daniel Goulding: The Cowboys will have too much for the Jags, especially if Tony Romo is back. Demarco Murray didn’t get 100 yards rushing last weekend and I think he will want to make up for that this weekend.
TheScore.ie: Apologies to any Jaguars fans out there, but they suck. Easy Cowboys win. In fact, Dallas could win with me at quarter-back instead of Tony Romo.
New York Giants @ Seattle Seahawks
Daniel Goulding: Seattle for me. They looked like they could have a perfect season at the start of the year but Russell Wilson is a great quater-back and it looks like their defence is back on track.

TheScore.ie: With each passing year I ask myself, how the hell did Eli Manning beat Tom Brady in two Super Bowls? Actually, I scream it and use another four letter word instead of hell. Seahawks.
Chicago Bears @ Green Bay Packers
Daniel Goulding: The Packers are great at home and they have a great set of receivers. Randall Cobb is on my fantasy team and Aaron Rodgers is great so I think they will be too good for Chicago.
TheScore.ie: Rodgers has been impeccable in the last few weeks. That fake spike touchdown against the Dolphins was the sort of play that makes him so special. Green Bay by a touchdown.
Carolina Panthers @ Philadelphia Eagles
Daniel Goulding: I’ll go for the home team again with the Eagles. The Panthers haven’t been good this year and I think even with Mark Sanchez they will have enough to win.
TheScore.ie: One of Chip Kelly’s skills as an offensive coach is being able to bring in different quarter-backs but still have success. I don’t feel comfortable backing butt-fumble Sanchez but I’ll go with the Eagles this week.
