DUBLIN FOOTBALLERS WON’T be forced to check their Google Maps app next year as the Leinster Council has voted to keep the 2013 All-Ireland champions in Croke Park.
With Dublin drawn to play Longford or Offaly in the Leinster quarter-final, there had been speculation that Jim Gavin’s men might take a rare trip out of the capital.
However, last night the Leinster Council voted to schedule the game for headquarters where it will most likely form part of a double-header with the hurling quarter-final between Dublin and Galway.
Had Dublin played away from home, it would have marked the first occasion since their Leinster first-round clash with Longford in 2006, which was played in Pearse Park.
