ANDREW TRIMBLE IS set to miss the November Internationals with Ireland and significant portion of Ulster’s Champions Cup campaign with a toe injury.
The 30-year had missed the province’s opening Champions Cup game defeat to Leicester on Saturday evening and was also expected to sit out the Pool Three encounter with Toulon in Ravenhill this weekend.

The Ireland winger suffered the injury in the 29-9 victory over Glasgow in the Guinness PRO12 two weeks ago.
However, it appears it is more serious than first thought with a spokesperson for Ulster telling TheScore.ie that Trimble had suffered “significant ligament damage in the toe.”
While there is no time period for Trimble’s return as both Ulster and the IRFU will seek a second opinion on the management of the injury, it is expected to keep the player out for a number of months.
In other injury news, Luke Marshall has also been ruled out for six weeks after suffering medial ligament damage in his left knee while playing for the Ravens.
