Edinson Cavani sent off after 'sniper' celebration

EDINSON CAVANI WAS one of three players sent off by referee Nicolas Rainville as PSG came from behind to beat Lens at the Stade de France on Friday night.

The Uruguayan striker was first booked for celebrating his goal in front of Lens fans before earning a dismissal for grabbing the referee’s arm.

PSG fell behind in the 10th minute before former Newcastle player Yohan Cabaye scored his first goal for the club when he equalised in the 28th minute.

A Maxwell effort six minutes later put PSG in front before the red cards started.

First, Jean-Philippe Gbamin was sent off for Lens – Cavani scoring the resulting penalty ahead of his sending off – before captain Jérôme Le Moigne was dismissed two minutes later, reducing Lens to nine men.
