That has whetted our appetite and here are 6 more questions we want Keane to answer in his new book.
1. How much does Roy Keane hate Alex Ferguson?
Keane fell out with his mentor after being forced out of Old Trafford and their relationship has deteriorated since, with both making sniping remarks about each other in the media.
Alex Ferguson’s recent book was highly critical of Keane and now the midfielder has a chance to strike back. Here are some of the things he will hopefully touch on:
- The circumstances surrounding Keane leaving United, and specifically his version of events regarding the MUTV interview.

- The controversy between Fergie and United shareholder John Magnier about the racehorse Rock of Gibraltar. Keane has accused Ferguson of interfering with the club by suing Magnier over stud fees.
2. Will Carlos Quieroz get the Maurice Setters treatment?
In his first book, Roy Keane eviscerated Jack Charlton’s assistant, Maurice Setters, and many expect him to do the same to the Alex Ferguson’s Portuguese number two this time around.
Apparently Quieroz questioned Roy Keane’s loyalty to Manchester United and also lobbied for his removal from the club after the aforementioned MUTV interview.
How will Keane respond?
3. How did Niall Quinn get Keane to take the Sunderland job?
Roy Keane (by way of Eamon Dunphy) called Quinn ‘the Mother Theresa of Irish football’ in his first book but the two men reconciled ahead of Keane taking the Sunderland job in 2006.

How did the two make up? Who apologised to who? Basically, how did it all come together in Sunderland? And……
4. How did it all fall apart in Sunderland?
Once Ellis Short bought Sunderland, he and Keane quickly butted heads. Granted, the club’s form had dipped but it will be interesting what Keane reveals about what was going on behind the scenes, and how it influenced his decision to leave.
5. What happened between Keane and Eamon Dunphy?
Dunphy wrote Keane’s first book but they fell out soon after. Dunphy had been one of Keane’s biggest supporters and constantly defended him on air whenever anyone said anything critical about the Irish midfielder.
So what happened between them from the time they collaberated on his first book to Keane saying on the Late Late after Pat Kenny called them friends ‘A lot of people call themselves my friend, and they are not’? Hopefully Roy sheds some light on their relationship this Thursday.
6. Are Keane and John Delaney pals now?
For years Roy Keane has been intensely critical of the FAI’s performance and it would have been hard to fathom a day when he was actually working for the organisation. Of course, he is now Martin O’Neill’s assistant so how did O’Neill and/or John Delaney convince Keane to get involved?
It is hard to imagine Roy Keane and John Delaney being pals, so hearing anecdotes about their interactions should be pretty entertaining.

6 questions we want addressed in Roy Keane's new book
ROY KEANE’S SECOND autobiography, The Second Half, comes out this Thursday and there have been some snippets released today about fighting Peter Schmeichel, Rio Ferdinand’s missed drugs test and Keane’s fiery training ground temperament.
That has whetted our appetite and here are 6 more questions we want Keane to answer in his new book.
