Julian Savea has scored 24 tries in 24 tests for New Zealand. Rick Rycroft

Julian Savea finished off this scintillating end-to-end try earlier

The All Blacks were exceptional and so was this try from the winger.

THE ALL BLACKS put 50 on Australia at Eden Park earlier today, and played some breathtaking rugby in the process (so good in fact, that it drew both a smirk AND an eyebrow raise from Steve Hansen). The pick of the tries was Julian Savea’s but the score really belonged to Aaron Cruden.

The outhalf fixes so many defenders with his hands that it creates acres of space for Savea, Cory Jane and Ben Smith outside him. (Savea’s try is from 34 seconds.)

Everything that was wrong with the All Blacks’ performance last week was right this morning. The handling was crisp, the rucking was ferocious and they were efficient in attack. In fairness to Australia, Michael Hooper did grab a nice individual try before the end but the damage was already done.

Can anyone stop the All Blacks in this form?
