7 numbers showing why you should back Willie Mullins at Cheltenham

The Carlow based trainer is set for a big week.

WHEN YOU THINK about National Hunt racing, it doesn’t take long for your train of thought to pull up in Closutton, Co. Carlow – home of Willie Mullins.

Since taking out his trainer’s licence in 1988, Mullins’ shadow has loomed large over the Irish National Hunt scene winning 1,772 races and producing more than 100 winners in each of the last seven seasons.

It is, therefore, no surprise that the 58-year old is the favourite to be the top trainer at the end of this week’s racing.
