ULSTER AND CONNACHT WILL meet in the M. Donnelly Interprovincial Football final after a pair of high-scoring semi-finals today.
In Tuam, Connacht fought back from seven points down at one stage in the first half to run out comfortable six point winners over Munster.

John Tobin’s charges had trailed 2-9 to 1-9 at the break, but with Cathal Cregg (1-7), Paul Conroy and Emlyn Mulligan (0-5 each) all finding their scoring boots, the westerners secured a final berth for the first time in six years.
In the day’s other semi-final, Ulster needed extra time to see off Leinster in a 62 point thriller in Navan.
The sides were level at half-time and full-time and it wasn’t until the closing minutes that Joe Kernan’s team finally pulled away.
Leinster will be left wondering what might have been as they were two points up with six minutes of extra-time remaining, but a goal from Tyrone’s Peter Harte put the northerners province into the final.
