Good afternoon and we’re nearly set for the second of today’s club football semi-finals and the big news is that there’s no Ger Brennan for St. Vincent’s. We’ll have the full teams for you shortly.

Ger Brennan will be replaced by Kevin Bonnie with Tiaran Diamond starting instead of Ruairi Trainor.

St Vincent’s 0-1 – Ballinderry 0-0:

Referee Marty Duffy gets the game underway and Vincent’s have won a 45 after just 30 seconds. Mossy Quinn makes no mistake with the place ball.

It’s been pretty much all St. Vincent’s in the opening exchanges but it’s still just the solitary Quinn point separating the two sides.

Ballinderry 0-1 – St. Vincent’s 0-1:

The Derry side are on the scoreboard with the game’s first point from play, a nice effort from Collie Devlin.

St. Vincent’s 1-1 – Ballinderry 0-2: 

Tomas Quinn with the game’s first goal, a super finish after Ballinderry had taken the briefest of leads through a Raymond Wilson point.

St. Vincent’s 2-1 – Ballinderry 0-2: 

It’s a second goal for Vincent’s after the prettiest of passes from Mossy Quinn sees Ciaran Dorney score from close range. All to do now for Ballinderry even at this early stage.

St. Vincent’s 2-2 – Ballinderry 0-2:

It’s the Mossy Quinn show in Newry as he adds another point and suddenly Vincent’s are six points clear.

St. Vincent’s 2-2 – Ballinderry 0-3:

Ryan Bell with a nice point to bring the deficit back to five points.

St. Vincent’s 2-2 – Ballinderry 0-4:

Another point from play by Ballinderry this time off the right foot of James Conway. The Ulster champions are starting to settle after the early battering from Vincent’s.

St. Vincent’s 2-2 – Ballinderry 0-5:

It’s a second point of the game for Collie Devlin and it’s been over ten minutes since Vincent’s troubled the umpires while Ballinderry have scored three on the bounce.

St. Vincent’s 2-3 – Ballinderry 0-5:

And just as I type that, Shane Carthy points for the Leinster Champions.

St. Vincent’s 2-3 – Ballinderry 0-6:

Conleith Gilligan makes no mistake with a free from the left and there are just three between the teams.

St. Vincent’s 2-4 – Ballinderry 0-7:

A beautiful point from Collie Devlin, probably the best of the game to bring it back within two as we enter injury time at the end of the first half. However, Mossy Quinn answers for Vincent’s almost immediately.

A real goal chance for Devlin but his close range shot rattles off the bar and goes over for a point.

So unlucky there.

Another point for Raymond Wilson, right on the half time whistle, and we’ve a cracking game here.

And Sligo’s Marty Duffy starts the second half in front of an official attendance of 4,331 in Páirc Esler.

St. Vincent’s 2-6 – Ballinderry 0-9:

Gavin Burke gets the scoreboard ticking in the second half for Vincent’s before Mossy Quinn slots over the easiest of frees from close range.

St. Vincent’s 2-7 – Ballinderry 0-10:

A super point from Diarmuid Connolly just sneaks inside Ballinderry’s right upright and, just as they did in the first, Vincent’s have started the second much brighter.

James Conway also picks up a yellow card for Ballinderry before Ryan Bell gets his second point of the game.

St. Vincent’s 2-8 – Ballinderry 0-10:

Another Connolly point after a driving run and, with 23 minutes left, Vincent’s lead is four points.

St. Vincent’s 2-9 – Ballinderry 0-10:

A lovely driving run from Michael Concarr leads to another simple Mossy Quinn free right in front of the posts and the corner forward makes no mistake.

St. Vincent’s 2-10 – Ballinderry 0-10:

Another Quinn free, another Vincent’s score. Their two goal lead is restored.

St. Vincent’s 2-10 – Ballinderry 1-11:

And all of a sudden Ballinderry are back in this. First a 45 brought them back within five points and then, from the kick out, Daniel McKinless finds the net and we have a game.

St. Vincent’s 2-11 – Ballinderry 1-11:

There are three points between the teams again and it’s Mossy Quinn (who else?) with yet another free.

St. Vincent’s 2-12 – Ballinderry 1-12:

Collie Devlin kicks a fine point but Vincent’s answer almost immediately through the boot of Dorney.

St. Vincent’s 2-14 – Ballinderry 1-13:

With just two minutes of injury time remaining, Mossy Quinn’s point might just have won St. Vincent’s this semi-final.

Ballinderry strike back with a point but needed a goal and Connolly points again down the other end.
