HAD HARRY KEWELL not tried to dig his way back to England while trying to take a penalty, Melbourne Heart may well have earned a draw against Sydney FC in the early hours of this morning.

However, the former Liverpool and Leeds player’s efforts to tunnel home using a football as a shovel failed and his miss leaves his side rooted to the foot of the A-League.

The win moves Sydney FC — inspired by Alessandro Del Piero’s brilliant first half performance — into third. You can see the Italian’s goal here:
