CLARE’S MAN OF The Match David McInerney was caught on the hop a bit in his post match interview with TG4 after the Banner’s win over Galway in the All-Ireland U21 hurling championship semi final on Saturday evening.
When talking about the final next month, McInerney spoke about ‘looking forward to face Wexford in three weeks’.
In fairness to the Tulla clubman, he was very quick to apologise to Antrim and praise them on their efforts and it just goes to show how focused players are in the build up to big games.
