Confidence levels among Arsenal supporters dropped even more when Arsene Wenger decided to bring on Nicklas Bendtner, so much so that one Twitter user declared the following:

Inevitably, Bendtner scored in the 88th minute and, despite Theo Walcott adding a second, the Arsenal fan stayed true to his word:

We say fair play to the guy for following through on his promise when many would have looked for Walcott’s goal as an escape clause.
