ANTONIO CONTE COULDN’T have his cake and eat it — so he helped himself to a bite of a journalist’s dessert instead.
The Chelsea boss was in flying form after watching the Premier League leaders beat Leicester City 3-0 to open up a seven-point gap at the summit.
Before he started his post-match press conference, a hungry Conte spotted a journalist tucking into a slice of cake.
“It’s good, the cake?” he asked. “I’m jealous.”
And when the journalist in question asked Conte if he’d like to try some, the Italian needed no second invitation.
“If you offer me a bit, I’ll taste a bit, a little bit because I didn’t eat.”
It’s hard to make out the type of cake from the video — possibly carrot cake? — but it met with Conte’s approval nonetheless.
“It’s good,” he smiled. “Thank you.”
