Stokes pays tribute to 'Wee Oscar' after scoring in Celtic's final day victory

The Dubliner has finished the season in a run of goal-scoring form.

CELTIC STRIKER ANTHONY STOKES celebrated his recall to the Ireland squad by scoring the first goal in his team’s 3-1 win over Dundee United.

The Dubliner headed home after 64 minutes to put the Scottish champions 1-0 up at Celtic Park. Georgios Samaras doubled Celtic’s lead and Kris Commons made it 3-1, three minutes after Filip Twarzik put the ball into his own net.

The victory saw Celtic finish on 99 points with a positive goal difference of 77. Neil Lennon’s side were presented with the Premiership trophy following the game and Samaras, who is set to leave the club in the summer, was given a rousing reception by the home supporters.
