DUBLIN SENIOR HURLING boss Anthony Daly says he won’t make a decision on his future with the county until the dust settles on today’s defeat in Thurles.
The Leinster outfit saw the curtain fall on their summer as they failed to get going against Tipp.

“I came to win an All-Ireland quarter-final today and there’s plenty of time over the next couple of weeks to ponder the future,” Daly told RTÉ’s Joanne Cantwell after the game.
“I would never make a decision based on today because you know you never think about that coming into a game like this. You’re just totally focused on trying to get a result and you’re not in a position to make that call. But maybe it is time to let someone else at it. We’ll have a few chats with a few people over the next couple of weeks and see what way it goes.”
Beaten at the semi-final stage by Cork last summer, Daly was asked if the panel were under increased pressure to achieve this year.
“I dunno… the Dubs need to do better every year.,” says the Clareman. “If you’ve won Leinster last year and the league a couple of years ago there’s only one place you want to go. But unfortunately while it looked very promising for us after winning the relegation playoff and beating Wexford down in Wexford and it looked like we might kick on. But unfortunately we didn’t in the last two games and we’ve lost out heavily to Kilkenny and Tipp.
“You can’t hide from it. We were beaten and that’s the bottom line,” he added.
