The Tribes boss has received a vote of no confidence from the county’s senior hurlers.

IT’S BEEN A chaotic few days for Galway hurling after news emerged of a vote of no-confidence from players in their manager, Anthony Cunningham.

The embattled boss met with county board chiefs last night and appears to have indicated his desire to remain in charge for a fifth successive season.

Former Galway star Pete Finnerty has expressed sympathy for his ex-teammate in a balanced reflection but admitted that Cunningham’s position is untenable.
