IRISH OLYMPIAN ANNALISE Murphy was tweeting pictures from a hospital trolley this week after an unfortunate collision — with the back of a parked car.
Murphy, who won Sailing Achievement of the Year earlier this month, broke her nose when she crashed her bike on Tuesday morning.
“Did something rather stupid this morning,” the 23-year-old tweeted to more than 8,000 followers.
“Was very well looked after by an ambulance crew and luckily it turns out I only broke my nose.”
Murphy missed out on an Olympic medal when she finished an agonising fourth in the Laser Radial class in London last summer.
She is expected to return to the water at the ISAF World Cup event in Hyeres, France next month.
