REAL MADRID MANAGER Carlo Ancelotti is unsure whether or not Angel di Maria will still be at the Spanish club come the end of the month.
With reports this morning speculating that Manchester United are planning a record deal to secure his services, the Argentine’s current boss has admitted a move could be on the cards, though Di Maria has been included in the Real squad for Tuesday’s Super Cup clash with local rivals Atletico.
Di Maria is available like all the other players. It could be that he starts and has his chance, but he is just like the other players. Tomorrow one team will play and on Friday a different team will play. I don’t know what Di Maria has decided. He is ready and it could be that he can help us. Until August 31 that is the line we will take. Whether he stays or goes, after that everything will return to normal.”
Di Maria wasn’t included in the Real side that defeated Sevilla in the UEFA Super Cup last week and did seem set to swap Madrid for Paris, with PSG vigorously pursuing him. However, their president Nasser Al-Khelaifi later revealed talks had stalled because the winger was too expensive.
Ever since, Manchester United have emerged as favourites to land the ex-Benfica man.
