Andy Carroll completes £15m move to West Ham

The striker leaves Liverpool following a short, unsuccessful spell at the club.

ANDY CARROLL HAS completed a £15million move from Liverpool to West Ham, it has been confirmed.

The deal was confirmed as West Ham co-owner David Gold tweeted that Carroll had passed his medical “with flying colours”.

The player, who Liverpool bought in 2011 for £35 million from Newcastle, has signed a six-year contract with the club, according to reports.

He enjoyed a successful loan spell with the Hammers last season, following a disappointing stint at Anfield.

Carroll is manager Sam Allardyce’s third signing of the summer, after they previously secured deals for Shakhtar Donetsk left-back Razvan Rat and Real Betis goalkeeper Adrian on free transfers.
