AT 33, MOST midfielders are coming towards the end of their career as their ability dwindles.

However, as tonight’s Champions League game between Celtic and Juventus illustrates, Andrea Pirlo’s prowess remains largely undimmed despite his veteran status.

The midfielder set up the second goal with a sublime defence-splitting pass, which ultimately led to Fabio Quagliarella tapping home from Arturo Vidal’s cross.

Juventus won 2-0 on the night and 5-0 on aggregate.
