Eddie Alvarez to make his return against another former foe of Conor McGregor

Alvarez will be fighting for the first time since relinquishing the lightweight title to McGregor last November.

THE CARD FOR UFC 211 is shaping up to be an absolute cracker following the addition of two more bouts, including a lightweight clash of two previous opponents of the divisionโ€™s reigning champion Conor McGregor.

The UFC have announced that Eddie Alvarez will face Dustin Poirier in Dallas on 13 May. A flyweight bout between Sergio Pettis and former title challenger Henry Cejudo has also been confirmed for the bill.

Alvarez (28-5) will be fighting for the first time since last November, when he lost the UFC lightweight title to McGregor via second-round TKO at Madison Squae Garden in New York.

Poirier (21-5) moved up to lightweight after his first-round TKO loss to McGregor in a featherweight bout in September 2014. With a 5-1 record in the UFCโ€™s 155lbs division, Poirier bounced back from a defeat to Michael Johnson back in September by overcoming Jim Miller via majority decision last month.

UFC 211 will be headlined by Stipe Miocicโ€™s heavyweight title defence against Junior Dos Santos. Strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk will also defend her title on the night against Jessica Andrade, while a bout between welterweight contenders Demian Maia and Jorge Masvidal has also been booked for the card.

Interesting read. But come on, Journal โ€“ there is alot more to mental illness than depression and bipolar disease. I would love to see some publicity for other prevalent conditions, and of course the more stigmatised conditions. Eating disorders, exercise disorders, Anxiety, OCD, schizophrenia to name but a few.
Oh, thats right โ€“ those people donโ€™t want to tell their stories because of the shame and stigma.
