Former Munster centre McHenry seals move to France's Pro D2

Cork centre joins US Dax off the back of a league-winning season with Jersey Reds in the RFU Championship.

FORMER MUNSTER CENTRE Alex McHenry has agreed a move to US Dax in the Pro D2, French rugby’s second tier.

The 26-year-old, who represented Ireland at U20 level and in Sevens, left Munster in the summer of 2022 and joined Jersey Reds in the RFU Championship.

The Cork native scored six tries in 19 appearances as Jersey claimed England’s second-tier title last season.

Dax, who are newly promoted from France’s third tier, have won just two of their opening eight games in the Pro D2 this season

McHenry becomes the southern club’s first Irish player since Aidan McCullen in the 1998/99 season.
