Alan Judge enhanced his claims for an Ireland Euro 2016 spot today

The midfielder is considered a strong contender for Ireland’s Euro 2016 squad.

ALAN JUDGE ENHANCED his claims for a spot with Ireland at the Euros, as he scored his 14th goal of the season for Brentford today.

Judge, who has been linked with a Premier League move this season, scored the rebound after his penalty was saved, though it wasn’t enough for his side, as Brentford were beaten 2-1 by Rotherham.

Martin O’Neill recently indicated that the 27-year-old attacking midfielder was likely to earn his first senior cap in one of Ireland’s upcoming friendlies.

Meanwhile, elsewhere in the Championship, two Anthony Pilkington penalties helped Cardiff beat Preston 2-1, while Ireland U21 international Samir Carruthers was among the scorers as MK Dons lost 3-2 at Blackburn.
