Alan Brogan returns to Dublin side to face Mayo

The forward has been included at the expense of Eoghan O’Gara, while Ger Brennan comes into the side at corner-back.

ALAN BROGAN HAS been named at corner-forward in the Dublin side to face Mayo in Sunday’s All-Ireland semi-final at Croke Park.

Brogan was forced to miss the quarter-final victory over Laois after sustaining a groin injury against Meath in the Leinster final, but Pat Gilroy and company believe that the St Oliver Plunkett’s/Eoghan Ruadh has recovered well enough to start the pivotal clash.

The 30-year-old will link up with his brother Bernard and Diarmuid Connolly, as Eoghan O’Gara drops out.

Ger Brennan also comes into the side at corner-back in place of Philly McMahon, while Cian O’Sullivan slots in at left corner-back. Kevin Nolan reverts to the wing from the heart of the defence.

The Mayo side is expected to be named later on Friday.
