A HEARTBROKEN ALAN BROGAN was comforted by his wife and son as he left the field in tears following Dublin’s defeat at the hands of Donegal in their All-Ireland Senior Football Championship semi-final today.
Having made his debut with the Blues in 2002, Brogan was part of the Dublin side which won the All-Ireland title in 2011. Injury prevented him taking part in last year’s campaign and the Oliver Plunkett’s forward spoke to TheScore.ie recently about using that frustration as motivation to win another Sam Maguire this year.
However, Donegal put paid to those chances today and, after 12 years with the Dublin senior side, many will wonder if that’s the last time we’ve seen three-time All-Star in action in Croke Park.
