It did not seem so long ago that he arrived on the scene as a skilful teenager in the SPL, with then-Celtic manager Martin O’Neill jokingly referring to him as ‘Aideninho’. And his career has progressed since then with stints at Spartak Moscow and now Everton.

The winger had a slow start to life with the Toffees, as a lack of game time at his previous club meant he was only gradually introduced into the first team.
However, he made a considerable impact after coming on against Fulham last week, and appears to be coming good at the vital time, with his club set to compete for the fourth Champions League spot with Arsenal as the Premier League season approaches its climax.
