TWO FORMER CHAMPIONS in Adrian Lewis and Raymond van Barneveld met in the World Darts Championship at Alexandra Palace this evening.
2011 and 2012 winner Lewis, currently third in the PDC world rankings, hit a stunning nine-darter — the first at this year’s tournament — to wrap up the first set.
Barney fought back to draw level at 1-1 and despite Jackpot going on to take the third, the Dutchman stuck with him and remarkably won out 4-3.
As the late great Sid Waddell once said.
“There’s only one word for that: magic darts!
Unreal finish to the match,so close
Adrian missed 34 darts at a double can’t do it at that level.
Dont really care.RVN is through! And shur Lewis is still class anyway
RVN….oh god!
Barney was 50/1 to win at the start.looks a good bet now.
And I was laughed at for placing that bet….Barneys army!!!
