MANCHESTER UNITED TEENAGER Adnan Januzaj has ended speculation about the country he will represent at international level by choosing Belgium.
The 19-year-old, who made the breakthrough at first team level with United this season and scored four goals in 32 appearances, is eligible to play for several nations as he was born in Brussels to Turkish and Kosovan-Albanian parents.
Serbia and Croatia were also keen while England expressed an interest as Januzaj would be able to apply for citizenship once he lived in the UK for five years.
However, Belgium manager Marc Wilmots tweeted this evening that the talented attacker will link up with the Red Devils:
I’ve received official information that Adnan Januzaj has made himself available to the Belgian national team for the rest of his career,” Wilmots tweeted in French and Flemish.
