AC MILAN HAVE said reports that a Qatari investment fund are set to buy a stake in the club are untrue.
Reports on Friday stated that Silvio Berlusconi was about to sell 30% of the club he owns to the ruling Al-Thani family, generating as much as €250m for new training facilities or even a new stadium.
However, the club’s vice-chairman Adriano Galliani said, “there is no truth in it” and that was backed up by a club statement on Friday evening.
Berlusconi has repeatedly had to face down rumours that he’s ready to sell the club, especially given the fact that the club’s fortunes have dipped over the last couple of season.
