IT WAS A significant day for Limerick hurling yesterday.
For the first time since 2007 the county managed to win a game in the Munster senior hurling championship and in the process reached only their third ever provincial senior final since 1996.
A 1-18 to 1-15 victory over Tipperary in the Gaelic Grounds prompted huge scenes of celebration amongst the Limerick supporters.
And no one was happier than Limerick Live 95FM’ s commentator Liam Aherne.
Here’s his account of the closing stages of the game alongside former Limerick player Brian Geary.
The lads get pretty excited and emotional when Donal O’Grady scores this late point.
