LIMERICK FC ARE up to sixth in the Airtricity League following a resounding 4-0 win over Bray Wanderers at the Carlisle Grounds this afternoon.
Axel Bossekota found the net twice in the opening 21 minutes and a Shane Tracy goal made it 3-0 at the break. Tracy doubled his account for the day on 64 minutes to round off an impressive away win for Stuart Taylor’s men.
The league newcomers went close, through Tracy, in the opening stages of the game but Darren Quigley thwarted him with a fine save.
Bossekota, sporting pink hair as part of the club’s Shave or Dye fundraising efforts, started the scoring on 17 minutes with a smart lob that did for Quigley. His second followed four minutes later when he smashed the ball home from a smart Tracy pass.
Tracy scored his first from a free-kick some 30 yards from goal. Quigley was beaten at his near post and will not enjoy seeing replays of the third goal.

Dean Zambra and Marty Walters went close for the home side after the break but Tracy settled the contest when he curled in a fantastic free with 25 minutes remaining.
Jason Byrne had Wanderers best chance of the afternoon in the closing stages but hammered his effort off the inside of Barry Ryan’s post.
