BOSUN LAWAL IS SET to make the step up from underage to the Ireland senior squad after being called up for tomorrow night’s friendly against Hungary.
The Celtic player, who spent the past season out on loan to Fleetwood Town where he suffered relegation to League Two under manager Charlie Adam, had been training with John O’Shea’s squad ahead of the match on Tuesday night.
O’Shea, still in the limbo of being labelled an ‘interim’ manager, has included Lawal in his senior squad.
Afterwards, he will return to U21 duty.
Nottingham Forest defender Andrew Omobamidele has been ruled out through injury and will return home.

Stepped up to the mark last season for Connacht under a huge amount of pressure. Can’t see him ever making ground internationally in Ireland though, so it sounds like a good move for him.
Agree 100% with that, very much an unsung hero of the Pro12 winning season, absolutely crucial in some of those end of season games. Best of luck to the guy, I hope he makes it with Canada!
