KIERAN SADLIER HAS joined Bolton Wanderers from Rotherham United.
The 27-year-old midfielder has signed a two-and-a-half year deal with the League One side, who have been chasing his signature for some time.
Former U21 international Sadlier, who had spells in the League of Ireland with Sligo Rovers and Cork City, arrived at the New York Stadium from Doncaster Rovers in August 2020.
He made 37 appearances for the Millers, scoring seven times.
Rotherham are currently third in English footballโs third tier, while Bolton lie in 15th.
โKieran is a player we tried to sign in the summer and it didnโt happen,โ said Bolton manager Ian Evatt.
โWe tried to sign him again at the start of this window and it didnโt look like it was going to happen and then weโve managed to get it done and over the line. I think heโs delighted and weโre delighted.
Heโs used to winning football matches. Heโs been a big part of the Rotherham team that is doing really well in this division.
โHeโs a goalscorer at this level, who can play in a number of positions and itโs a no-brainer for us.
โHeโs a player that improves us and makes us better, which we are trying to do in this window.โ

I canโt see any reason why not too.
Why is it controversial? Itโs within the rules isnโt it?
Yes Dave, clearly itโs within the rules, or they couldnโt do it. But if you missed the controversy that surrounded it then you mustโve been VERY distracted!!! So basically, itโs controversial because it isnโt normally done and is considered by some to be against the spirit of the game. That answer your rhetorical question?
I think they should call their no ruck ploy โthe Eddie Jonesโ
